What happened to the film Minis

There were 16 Minis used in the 1969 film, with 6 original Mk1 Austin Cooper S types as the hero cars. ALL of the Minis were destroyed during filming. Although many stories have been told and stated on the internet. Remy confirmed first hand that what remained of the cars were merely parts. As life long fans of this iconic film, when the parts and registrations used in the original film came up for auction we made sure to retain these in the UK. We worked with Remy Julienne for over 12 years, and during this time built three exact film replicas with Remy using old photographs, sketches and knowledge from working on the film to ensure these were as close to 100% film perfect as possible. Upon completion Remy sign ALL three of our Mini Coopers as a recognition in his words that ‘these were as good as you’re going to get to accuracy’. These Minis were also signed by Sir. Micheal Caine …. so that’s the ultimate seal of approval I’m sure you would agree.

(*) Other replicas using our registration numbers (HMP729G, GPF146G and LGW809G) are using show plates and if used risk de-registering of their classic Mini by the DVLA for registration fraud. Once this action has occurred, the vehicle can not be re-registered making it worthless.
